i believe that work is play. i love the things i do, people i work with, and getting happiness from projects.

i began my undergrad career in architecture, where my love for design grew. i studied that subject for two years, which qualifies for a minor, and switched to communications (emphasis in journalism) for my love of writing. i melded my writing and design passions through print publications, studying graphic design and re-designing the school newspaper as editor-in-chief. i started the newspaper’s first website and use of multimedia, where my love for web design, development, and interactive storytelling grew. i also began employing marketing, PR and advertising campaigns as i learned more about the communications field. i continued studying new media in the communications industry my first master’s program, growing my knowledge of best practices, SEO/SEM/SMO and other valuable assets. i pursued a second master’s in information management to further develop my technical background as well as management, specifically project management. i’ve used all this academic knowledge practically through in-house, agency, and freelance settings. i’m also in start-up mode in some of my own projects. i love learning and interrelating subject matters as i evolve. i love connecting communications+technology+design.
