Occasion: My sister returns to the bay area, where she goes to school, after a visit home. Going to church and dinner with the family. (Look at my cute family – and stylish ladies – at the end of the post).

First try: Wanted to just wear the dress since it was a beautiful summer day, but knew it’d be too cold at night, so I threw the white pants underneath. (Wanted to wear leggings, but all mine were dirty and actually liked the white under the outfit ~ paired well with the white bandeau I wore underneath and the white blazer I wore over).

Favorite part: The crazy sandals up top (finally getting a pedi tomorrow for the MTV Movie Awards ~ stay tuned for my outfit for that) and this necklace my mom gave me. The necklace is from a friend’s organization, Wonderfully Made, that promotes girl’s beauty and self confidence. I love the bird out of the cage on the front and the scripture on the back.
